Cancer Quality Report


This page displays results for the National Voluntary Consensus Standards for Quality of Cancer Care (National Quality Forum, 2010). These indicators assess the speed and appropriateness of selected treatments for patients diagnosed with breast or colorectal cancer. We include all eligible patients who received any part of their initial cancer care at Norton Healthcare.

Breast Cancer
Number of breast cancer patients who underwent breast conserving surgery who received radiation therapy within 365 days of diagnosis. Includes AJCC Stage I, II, or III tumors. Excludes men, patients under age 18 or over age 70, patients for whom this is a subsequent cancer diagnosis, tumors not originating in the breast, non-epithelial malignancies, or patients who died within 365 days of diagnosis.(NQF) Post breast conserving surgery irradiation within 365 days of diagnosis high 98.1 95.1 92.3
Number of breast cancer patients who either received or were considered for multi-agent chemotherapy within 120 days of diagnosis. Colorectal Cancer
