From the moment you walk into our facility, you’ll know we’ve taken great care to make you and your family feel right at home.
Labor, Delivery and Recovery Rooms
We take pride in offering the environment and expertise to meet your individual needs and exceed your expectations, ensuring your comfort and creating a setting that maximizes support and minimizes stress, fully equipped for the birthing method you prefer.
Our Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) concept means you labor, deliver and recover all in one private, comfortable room. We also have fetal monitoring and other advanced technologies, including specially equipped suites for cesarean deliveries. For non-cesarean deliveries, our labor/delivery/recovery (LDR) concept allows the birth experience to take place in one private, comfortable room. For cesarean section deliveries, the operating room is used for the birth, and the LDR room is used for recovery.
We also have special suites equipped with the latest technology when fetal monitoring is needed. Every room is private to ensure your comfort. Rooms are tastefully decorated with calming colors and wood furniture to create a home-like setting for you and your family.

Labor and Delivery Nursing
In addition to your physician, a nurse trained in advanced techniques for newborn resuscitation attends your birth. Most deliveries are normal, uncomplicated procedures, but it’s comforting to know that advanced care is available immediately should your baby need it.
Couplet Care is designed to involve families in the baby's care during the little one's first few days. Couplet Care allows mother and baby to be cared for by the same nurse in the same room. Studies show that keeping mom and baby together better prepares them both for going home. Other benefits of Couplet Care:
- Helping mother and baby’s sleep patterns naturally become more alike
- Learning to tell when the baby is hungry, in pain, needs to be held or has been held too much
- Encouraging more family bonding by including other family members in the care of mother and baby
- Providing a supportive environment for breast-feeding
- Encouraging infant care questions from parents and family
- Opening communication between parents and the medical staff
Couplet Care is designed to enhance family-centered mother/baby care and the overall birth experience.
A Family Affair
Childbirth is a happy time that should include everyone in your family. Fathers or support persons are encouraged to take an active role from labor through birth and beyond. We’ve provided recliners and sofa sleepers, so dad or a close family member or friend can spend the night in your room. We also encourage brothers, sisters and grandparents to share in feeding and holding your newborn. Our schedules allow you and your family the freedom to get to know your baby together. You set the pace for your day, and we adjust our schedule to meet your needs.
Help with Breast-feeding and Baby Care
All members of the nursing staff on the mother/baby units are trained to provide post-delivery and newborn care and education, as well as to assist with breast-feeding. Lactation consultants are available when additional assistance is needed.
