A leukemia diagnosis is scary. If you or your child has been diagnosed with or is battling leukemia, you may be feeling confused or overwhelmed and understandably frightened. Norton Cancer Institute is here to provide you and your entire family with the support you need to cope.
The Norton Cancer Institute Resource Centers offer a variety of support services that address the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of cancer patients and their loved ones. The centers house a library of educational resources about prevention and detection, treatment options and recovery. Specially trained oncology nurses are available to provide one-on-one educational counseling for patients and family members.
The center also offers the following free services for cancer patients and their families:
- Educational seminars
- Clinical-trial searches
- Nutritional counseling
- Emotional/behavioral counseling
- Wigs, prostheses and turbans
- Massage therapy
- Art therapy
- Referrals to community resources
