On Sept. 24, 2011, hundreds of people of all ages will take part in an event to help those who are fighting cancer in our community. Norton Cancer Institute's Bike to Beat Cancer will offer riders three different distances: 35 miles, 65 miles and 100 miles - beginning and ending at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. Riders are encouraged to raise a minimum of $400. Cancer survivors who ride are being asked to raise $100. And if you're not a rider, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities as well. Get Healthy's Jackie Hays has more on the ride and other events planned for the day.
