Physicians

Dr. Glenn Lambert began his practice in 1979. He graduated from Duke University and obtained his medical degree from Tulane University. He completed his surgical and vascular training at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, the University of Louisville and Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, respectively. Dr. Lambert has served as chairman of the department of surgery at Norton Suburban Hospital and president of the Louisville Surgical Society. Additionally, he serves as clinical professor in surgery at the University of Louisville and is medical director for the Wound Treatment Center at Norton Suburban Hospital. Dr. Lambert has published numerous articles related to limb salvage, which have been presented at national meetings throughout the country.

Thomas Wright Klamer, M.D.
Dr. Klamer joined the practice in 1983 after obtaining his medical degree from Ohio State University. He received his surgical and vascular training from the University of Louisville and the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he served as clinical assistant professor of surgery for two years. Dr. Klamer serves as director of the medical staff and vascular lab at Norton Suburban Hospital. He is an active member of multiple surgical societies, has been appointed to many hospital committees and serves as clinical professor in surgery at the University of Louisville. He also heads the endovascular surgical team. Dr. Klamer has published many articles related to general and vascular surgery, which have been presented at meetings throughout the country.

John D. Edwards, M.D.
Dr. Edwards joined the practice in April 2008. Prior to joining Norton Vascular Associates, Dr. Edwards led a number of endovascular surgery programs while at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He also shared his expertise in endovascular procedures in various teaching capacities, and his clinical research in the field of endovascular diseases has been widely published. Dr. Edwards is board certified in vascular surgery. He is a graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his residency at the University of Michigan and later earned his fellowship in clinical vascular surgery at Harvard University.

Greg C. Schmieder, M.D. Greg Schmieder, M.D., joined Norton Vascular Associates in July 2008. Dr. Schmieder recently completed a fellowship in vascular surgery from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Prior to his fellowship he completed a general surgery residency and an additional fellowship in surgical critical care at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Dr. Schmieder received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Mary B. Easley, ARNP Mary joined Norton Vascular Associates in January 2009. She graduated in 2005 with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to joining Norton Vascular Associates, Mary's worked in both cardiology and vascular surgery specialties. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Society of Vascular Nurses.
