Directional signs keep walkers on track and provide special health tips along the way.
Get Healthy Walking Club members receive a 10 percent discount on zoo admission for guests during twilight hours. Members also receive invitations to special activities and screenings at the zoo, as well as access to all the activities featured in Get Healthy magazine's calendar of events.
Attention parents and grandparents! Infants and toddlers in strollers are welcome to accompany members of the Get Healthy Walking Club during morning and twilight walking hours.
For a little fresh air and sunshine, there's nothing better than a walk in the park. Shively Park and Leeds Park — both in the city of Shively, just five minutes from Louisville — became the first official Get Healthy Walking Club Path Walkers' locations. They offer half-mile and shorter walking paths. These parks offer other amenities, such as picnic pavilions, tennis courts, a ball field and playground equipment. Shively Park also features a regulation-size basketball court.
