Norton Healthcare Announces Schedule for Community Forums Concerning New Women’s and Children’s Hospital

LOUISVILLE, KY. (Oct. 17, 2011): Norton Healthcare will conduct four community forums to answer questions and receive community input about its plans to convert Norton Suburban Hospital into the region’s first women’s and children’s hospital. The schedule is:

Tuesday, Oct. 25
6 to 7 p.m.
Iroquois Library
601 W. Woodlawn Ave.

Thursday, Oct. 27
6 to 7 p.m.
Norton Brownsboro Hospital
4960 Norton Healthcare Blvd.

Tuesday, Nov. 1
5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Nia Center
2900 W. Broadway

Thursday, Nov. 3
6 to 7 p.m.
Norton Weight Management Center
1000 Dupont Road

Interested persons who are unable to attend the forums can ask questions or provide input by emailing womensandchildrenshospital@nortonhealthcare.org, by visiting NortonHealthcare.com/communityforum, or by calling (502) 629-IDEA. Because the campus will continue to serve men, their input is also encouraged.

Norton Healthcare is gathering input from all pertinent stakeholders, including area consumers, to help guide its decisions regarding facility design, services and programs for the new women’s and children’s hospital, and for continued campus services for men. The not-for-profit health care system announced its intentions in August to convert Norton Suburban into a state-of-the-art women’s and children’s hospital.
