Norton Healthcare introduces after-hours pediatric care at immediate care center in Okolona
Meeting the growing demand for pediatric urgent medical services in the community
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 30, 2012) – To meet the growing need for urgent medical services for children, Norton Healthcare will launch its first pediatric after-hours program on April 2 at Norton Immediate Care Center – Okolona. Community pediatricians recognize that most patients do not need to be seen in an emergency department, yet need some level of care when pediatricians’ offices may be closed. They are excited to partner with Kosair Children’s Hospital to ensure that quality care is available for children after normal office hours.
Starting April 2, Norton Immediate Care Center – Okolona will partner with Kosair Children’s Hospital to provide pediatric after-hours care.
Wednesday, April 2
After-hours care will be available Monday through Friday, 5 to 9 p.m.; Saturdays, 1 to 9 p.m.; and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
