Children’s Hospital Foundation and Norton Healthcare Foundation receive more than $248,000
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 3, 2013) – The Norton Healthcare Foundation has received a gift of $100,000 from William O. Alden, Jr. in honor of Norton Healthcare Trustee, Dr. Martha Heyburn, to benefit Norton Cancer Institute. Special thanks to Bob Shaw for his leadership in the Norton Cancer Institute and for working with this donor.
The Children's Hospital Foundation has received a gift of $88,382 from the estate of Helen Smith in memory of Helen Jean and Argel Reed Smith to benefit the area of greatest need at Kosair Children's Hospital.
The Children's Hospital Foundation has also received a gift of $50,000 from Ted and Mary Nixon to benefit the Wendy L. Novak Diabetes Care Center at Kosair Children's Hospital. This gift, coupled with past giving from the Nixons, brings their total philanthropic support of pediatric and adult health services at Norton Healthcare to more than $100,000.
The Norton Healthcare Foundation has received a gift of $10,000 from John Cullen to benefit the Marshall Women's Center at the new Norton Women's Hospital/Kosair Children's Hospital – St. Matthews. Special thanks to Eric Seto, Norton Healthcare Foundation, for his work with this donor.
