Norton Healthcare Opens New Norton Immediate Care Center in Clarksville, Indiana
CLARKSVILLE, IND. (JUNE 13, 2005): Norton Healthcare today opened a new Norton Immediate Care Center in Clarksville, Ind. Norton, the area's largest provider of urgent care services, now operates seven Norton Immediate Care Centers throughout greater Louisville - five in Kentucky and two in Southern Indiana (Clarksville and Jeffersonville).
The new Norton Immediate Care Center is located with the Norton Community Medical Associates-Clarksville physician offices and diagnostic center at 2051 Clevidence Boulevard off the I-65 Veterans Parkway exit 5, just one-half mile from the Sam's Club/Super Wal-Mart. The center:
Is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., including holidays, and staffed by an on-site physician.
Treats illnesses and minor injuries without an appointment, providing daytime, after-hours, weekend and holiday patient care. The center is available to people who do not have a regular primary physician or whose physician is unavailable when care is needed.

The new center is part of a $3.4 million, 12,400 square-foot expansion nearing completion at the Norton Community Medical Associates-Clarksville location. In addition to the Norton Immediate Care Center, the expansion is adding physicians, patient care space, enhanced diagnostic services and other new health care services at the Clarksville location.
The new Norton Immediate Care Center in Clarksville follows the March 2005 opening of a Norton Immediate Care Center in Shepherdsville, Ky. In 2004 the Norton Immediate Care Centers had about 90,000 total patient visits.
