When your child needs immediate care, Kosair Children's Hospital is there providing the best in emergency pediatric services including:
24-Hour Emergency Department - Staffed by caring specialists, the department - which is the region's only trauma center - offers equipment and facilities geared to young patients.
Kid's Express - In this special area within the emergency department we are able to treat non-critical illnesses or injuries with less delay.
Kid's Express is open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sundays, call (502) 629-6000.
"Just For Kids" Critical Care Center - We're able to treat the most seriously ill and injured children utilizing sophisticated technologies and equipment.
Neonatal Intensive Care - Even the smallest patients get expert attention in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which is one of the country's largest. Connected by pedway to the Norton Hospital Women's Pavilion ensures that at-risk newborns get the care they need without delay.
"Just for Kids" Transport Team - A fleet of vehicles and aircraft are maintained and used to safely transport children to Kosair Children's Hospital for specialized medical care.
Kentucky Regional Poison Center - The center offers comprehensive poison information and a toll free hot line (800) 222-1222.
