Neurological Services
Kosair Children's Hospital offers outstanding neurological diagnostics and treatment through our Pediatric Neurology service. The service is committed to treating children with nervous system disorders and nervous system development problems.
Kosair Children's Hospital was the first facility in the state to use vagal nerve simulation as a treatment for epilepsy. In addition to epilepsy, treatment is provided for a wide range of disorders and diseases including:

- Spinal cord, nerve and muscle diseases

Pediatric Neurology doctors work closely with the Neurodiagnostic Center to provide the best care for children stricken with neurological disorders. The team utilizes state-of-the-art technology and diagnostic tools including:

- Electroencephalograpy
- Electromyography (EMG / NCV)
- Evoked potentials
- Seizure monitoring
