Norton Healthcare Lactation Centers and Services provide personalized support for breastfeeding mothers and their infants. Internationally board-certified lactation consultants are available to provide a broad range of services dedicated to supporting the family through the identification and correction of issues that may interfere with successful breastfeeding.
Individual counseling regarding breastfeeding
Assistance with infant latch and positioning
Creamatocrit analysis to determine fat and calories in milk
Measurements of amount of milk transfer (pre- and post-nursing weights)
Assistance in determining amount of milk baby needs and recognizing baby’s cues

Lactation-certified nurses and additional clinical staff are available for families of newborns to receive education and support appropriate to their needs shortly after delivery and throughout their inpatient stay.
Outpatient lactation center Our experts are available for outpatient consultation by appointment Monday through Friday (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). They can assist with breastfeeding and related issues.
