Additional Perks at Norton Healthcare
Norton Healthcare is a great place to work and the perks, in
addition to benefits, contribute to the positive Norton experience. Here are just a few of the perks available.
Norton Concierge Services
We all know there are only 24 hours in the day, it seems like there is just not enough time for everything we need to do. Dry cleaning, oil changes, grocery shopping, travel arrangements, errand services, dog walking: we all have a "To Do" list that could use attention. That’s where Norton Concierge Services can help. It’s designed to assist Norton employees with the daily demands of balancing work and family. We offer a wide range of discounted concierge services that allow you to conveniently take care of tasks while you’re at work.
In addition to employees, now patients, visitors and guests at all Norton Healthcare hospitals and facilities may use Norton Concierge Services. Many new services are available in addition to the popular discounted theme park and sporting events tickets. A minimal convenience fee is charged for the service, plus the cost of any purchases. Charges for services such as watering plants or walking pets are based on the representative’s time. Payment may be made by credit or debit cards. Norton Concierge Services is operated by Time for You, and its employees are bonded and insured.

Employer-Assisted Housing
Norton moves you closer to your first home! Most of us dream of owning our own home, but putting together enough money to buy that first house is very difficult for many people. Norton Healthcare is ready to help through our Employer Assisted Housing Program, the first of its kind in Kentucky . Through this program, employees who meet eligibility requirements can apply for a $5,000 forgivable loan to help them purchase their first home. The program also offers access to financial counseling, homebuyer education and reduced-expense mortgage plans to help employees through the sometimes confusing process of buying a home.

Adoption Assistance Program
We provide support for families looking to adopt a child. There’s nothing as sweet as the love of a child, and many of us choose adoption as the ideal way to start a family–or grow one. Norton Healthcare is pleased to offer the Adoption Assistance Program (AAP), which provides financial help for employees going through the adoption process.
Who can participate?
All full-time and part-time employees who are statused as a .2 FTE or higher (scheduled to work a minimum of 8 hours a week) and have completed their benefits eligibility waiting period are eligible.
What does the program provide?
The Adoption Assistance Program provides reimbursement for qualified adoption expenses, which are the reasonable and necessary expenses incurred from the adoption process.
Eligible expenses include:
- Licensed adoption agency and placement fees
- Attorney and court costs
- Birth mother and child’s medical expenses (if not covered by insurance)
- Cost of temporary foster care for the child
- Immigration and translation fees
- Transportation and lodging associated with the adoption
Expenses not eligible are:
- Expenses incurred in violation of state and federal law
- Expenses from a surrogate parenting arrangement
- Expenses from the adoption of the employees stepchild
Do I get time-off after the adoption?
The adoptive mother, if an employee of Norton and enrolled in the Short-term Disability Plan, is eligible for up to six weeks of paid time based on the coverage elected. Contact your human resources department for more details.
Who is an eligible child under the program?
Any child who has not reached the age of 18 or is physically or mentally incapable of caring for themselves is eligible. The child may be either within or outside the United States.
How much reimbursement is available through the program?
Full-time employees who incur eligible expenses related to the adoption process will be reimbursed up to $2,000 per adoption, limited to a maximum of $4,000 per calendar year. Part-time employees will be reimbursed up to $1,000 per adoption, limited to a maximum of $2,000 per calendar year.
I am currently in the process of adopting a child. Am I eligible for reimbursement through the program?
Yes, assuming you meet the eligibility requirements, but only to the extent that any of your adoption‑related expenses were incurred after your eligibility. You must provide Norton with satisfactory proof of the date that each expense for which you seek reimbursement was incurred.
