The Festival of Trees & Lights

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holidays, Nov. 21 to 23, 2008 at Louisville Slugger Field .
General admission: $3 for children under 12 and senior citizens (65+) and $5 for adults. A small additional fee applies for children's activities on Saturday and Sunday.

Preview Day - no children's activities
Saturday, Nov. 22 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Community Day - all activities
Sunday, Nov. 23 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Scout day - All Girl Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are invited to attend the Festival of Trees & Lights with their troops, packs or families. All scouts in uniform receive an event patch

Saturday, Nov. 15, 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The Snow Ball black-tie holiday party presented by OfficeWare, which includes cocktails, a gourmet dinner, dancing and a silent auction at the Marriott Louisville Downtown. Please call (502) 629-8060 for ticket information.
Thursday, Nov. 20, 7 to 10 p.m.
Holiday Dazzlepreview party, presented by Today's Woman , with party hosting tips, mixology classes, holiday shopping and appetizers. Tickets $20 at the door.
Friday, Nov. 21, 6 to 9 p.m.
Dickens Family Night presented by Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, fireworks presented at 8:45 p.m. by L&N Federal Credit Union, Dickens-era costumed characters and carolers, first appearance of Santa Claus at the festival and special free children's activities. Old English fare, including bangers and mash, fish and chips and shepherd's pie available for purchase. Tickets - Children: $5, adults: $8, families of four or more: $25 at the door. Discounted tickets available at participating Kroger stores.
Festival highlights:
- Purchase your ticket to win a new 2009 Sam Swope BMW or $40,000 in cash at the festival. Drawing to be held Nov. 23 at the Festival of Trees & Lights.
- Children's activities area, open Nov. 22 and 23, is loaded with crafts, activities and learning for kids of all ages. Activities include ornament making, face painting, decorating candy gingerbread houses and crafts celebrating Kwanzaa, Jewish traditions and Christian heritage.
- Workshops on creative holiday entertaining, Nov. 21 and 22, will feature wreath making and scrapbooking classes. Registration is required by calling (502) 629-KIDS.
