Our Mission
The Festival of Trees & Lights is a volunteer-based organization under the auspices of the Children's Hospital Foundation that creates awareness, raises funds and affirms the role of Kosair Children's Hospital in the lives of the children of our community.
Our History
In 1989, several active board members and volunteers supporting Kosair Children’s Hospital decided to stage a Festival of Trees as a holiday fundraiser. That simple idea has grown by leaps and bounds. Now, the Festival of Trees & Lights is a major regional event that will net almost $400,000 for the children’s hospital. From Nov. 20 to Nov. 23, the indoor gallery of Louisville Slugger Field will become a winter wonderland of events for nearly 10,000 attendees. Read more about the history of the Festival.
