Sean M. Griffin, M.D.
Sean M. Griffin, M.D., earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Griffin completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. He and his wife returned to Louisville to continue their careers in their hometown.
Dr. Griffin has done research in pelvic trauma, fractures and complications of their treatment. He has special training and interests in adult orthopedic trauma, fracture surgery and direct anterior total hip arthroplasty. His focus is on caring for patients who are injured and debilitated, treating complex fractures and their complications, and helping patients through the rehabilitation and recovery process. Dr. Griffin is board eligible in orthopedic surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Griffin enjoys running, outdoor activities, spending time with his family and friends, and taking advantage of all that Kentucky has to offer.
