Kosair Children's Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program

This one-year residency experience offers extensive exposure to all aspects of pediatric pharmaceutical care. The resident is responsible for providing direct patient care through daily participation in multidisciplinary rounds. Research opportunities are abundant, and residents have opportunities to participate in the work of the pediatric pharmacology research unit. Hospitalwide and department policy development through medication use evaluation and staff trainings. Each resident will be responsible for implementing a self-designed program, including the management of any follow-up issues.

Daily activities include providing drug information, pharmacokinetic consults, nutritional evaluation and medication safety management.
