Liver cancer is often a difficult disease to detect. In many cases, it develops because it has spread from another site such as the colon. The staff at the Norton Cancer Prevention and Resource Center understands how cancer affects patients and their families. The center offers a variety of support services specifically geared to these victims and their loved ones.
The center houses a library of educational resources about prevention and detection, treatment options and recovery. Specially trained oncology nurses are available to provide one-on-one educational counseling for patients and family members.
The center also offers the following free services for cancer patients and their families:

- Clinical-trial searches
- Nutritional counseling
- Emotional/behavioral counseling
- Wigs, prostheses and turbans
- Massage therapy
- Art therapy
- Referrals to community resources
