A Message from Maureen Capalbo, vice president, Patient Care Services, and chief nursing officer, Norton Hospital; and Gregg Davis, vice president, Ortho/Neuro/Spine:
A construction project is under way on the second floor of Norton Healthcare Pavilion that will increase the efficiency, privacy, comfort level and attractiveness of our surgery and endoscopy departments, reception area and family waiting room.
Norton Healthcare has fantastic surgeons, nurses and support staff. We are renovating our pavilion facilities so that they reflect the high level of quality care our patients receive. The first phase of construction is projected to be completed by July 2008. Other areas will be renovated later this year.
Every precaution is being taken to minimize any inconvenience the construction may cause. Whenever possible, use of excessively loud equipment will be limited to evenings and weekends, when fewer patients are in the building. Caregivers will make every effort to inform patients when noise is going to occur and how long they can expect it to last.
