Having a baby is a joyous occasion, but it can be stressful as well.  No one knows that better than the specialists at Norton Women’s Pavilion Birthing Centers at Norton Suburban Hospital and Norton Hospital .  We are here to help you have the best experience possible when welcoming a new member to your family by providing you with highly-skilled and compassionate care in a private and family-centered environment.

Our specially designed birthing suites offer you comfort in a one-room setting throughout labor, delivery and recovery. Once you have recovered, you are moved to a private room on one of our designated mother/baby floors.

A mother/baby nurse is assigned to you and your baby and is responsible for your care from recovery through discharge. This allows you to choose how often and how long your baby stays in your room.

To help you prepare both for the birth experience and the special care your baby will need, Norton Women’s Pavilion offers a variety of classes on topics including:

• Prenatal health
• Labor preparation
• Breast feeding
• Sibling-to-be classes
• Infant CPR
• Legal aspects of parenting
• Marvelous multiples

Specialized services include:

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine Center
• Certified lactation consultants
• Access to the Level III NICU’s of Norton Suburban Hospital  and Kosair Children’s Hospital .
