banner_pharmacyresidencyprogram.jpg

The Norton Healthcare PGY-1 pharmacy residency program prepares its graduates to assume positions as acute-care pharmacist clinicians in a multihospital system environment or to pursue a specialized second year of postgraduate training.

Residents develop knowledge, skills and competence in a broad range of pharmaceutical services for diverse patient populations. Norton Audubon Hospital, Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Norton Hospital, Norton Women’s and Kosair Children’s Hospital and Kosair Children’s Hospital contribute to the robust and comprehensive training environment for various aspects of the residency program. Each facility maintains its own pharmacy department and leadership while participating in a system matrix organizational model. Each site can offer a unique facet to the customized training plan for an individual resident.

Residents can expect to hone their clinical service delivery skills within a model of practice excellence and leadership.
