TWIGS of Kosair Children's Hospital
TWIGS (Together With Important Goals Shared) is a nucleus of volunteer groups dedicated to supporting Kosair Children's Hospital through various fund raising and friend raising events. Throughout the year the volunteers raise money by operating the gift shops at Norton Audubon and Norton Suburban hospitals, as well as through partnerships with North Harrison Elementary and the Read-A-Thon program, Thornton Oil and the Fund Works program, Eco Cell's cell phone recycling project and the Jefferson Mall's "time of giving" program. Additionally they hold group fundraising events such as book sales.
Proceeds from efforts benefit the services and programs of Kosair Children's Hospital. Since the group's formation in 1978, TWIGS has donated nearly $2 million to Kosair Children's Hospital, making the group a member of the Children's Hospital Foundation Red Wagon Hall of Fame.
