Want to help?

Volunteers bring a very special “high touch” to a “high-tech” world. Being a volunteer adds an extra warmth that is appreciated by our patients, their families and our staff. Volunteers are exceptional people who take the extra steps to make a difference in another person’s life. Volunteering is a great learning experience and an excellent way to meet people and make new friends.

Volunteer opportunities are available in patient and non-patient areas. You do not need any special skills. We will provide the training you need.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

  • Gift shop – Work as an assistant or a cashier.
  • Norton Prime Time representatives – Visit patients age 50 and older and tell them about the benefits of Norton Prime Time membership.
  • Clerical – Stuff envelopes, file and help with special projects.
  • Emergency Department liaison – Interact with patients, family members and emergency staff.
  • Pre-Admission Testing – Assist in patient registration.
  • Radiology – Assist in patient registration.
  • Greeters – Greet patient and guests as they enter the hospital; provide directions as needed.
