Norton Breast Health Program
The Norton Breast Health Program is making much progress in the fight against breast cancer. Our specialists help support patients through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. As part of our program, patients and their families can access the many resources of Norton Cancer Institute.
As a part of Norton Cancer Institute, breast cancer patients and their families have access to a variety of cancer support services including the Norton Cancer Institute Resource Centers. The house a library of educational materials about breast cancer prevention and detection, treatment options and recovery. Our trained oncology nurses provide one-on-one educational counseling for breast cancer patients and their family members.
Our program also offers the following free services for breast cancer patients and their families:
- Educational seminars
- Clinical-trial searches
- Breast cancer screenings
- Emotional/behavioral counseling
- Nutritional counseling
- Wigs, prostheses and turbans
- Massage therapy
- Art therapy
- Referrals to the Norton Cancer Institute Lymphedema Clinic
- Referrals to community resources
Breast cancer survivors can share their experience with others at the Breast Cancer support group. This group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Norton Suburban Hospital Women’s Pavilion, Suite 102, Medical Plaza III. For more information, call (502) 629-3136 or (877)-87-BREAST.
