Respiratory Care Services at Norton Healthcare

Respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients is an important component of Norton Healthcare’s full range of medical services.  Our highly trained and licensed respiratory therapists provide both inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and treatment services including:

  • Lung disease management and education
  • Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis which measures the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood
  • Monitor and management of oxygen and ventilation equipment
  • Oxygen and aerosol or inhalation therapy
  • Education and home equipment instruction
  • Bronchoscopes
  • Tracheotomy care

In addition, Norton Healthcare respiratory therapists are an integral part of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.  Our therapists supervise cardio stress and pulmonary function testing and provide education and support to patients with chronic problems.
