Although Kosair Children’s Hospital  is known as the region’s premier hospital for the care of children, the Congenital Heart Center at Kosair Children’s Hospital is more than “Just for Kids.” Because diagnosis and treatment of heart defects requires a specific specialization, research and care, our physicians, nurses and staff are trained to care for patients of all ages. While many congenital heart defects are found in young children, it is not uncommon for defects to go undetected until adolescence or later in life. Regardless of when a heart defect is diagnosed, the specialists at Kosair Children’s Hospital are equipped to provide the care you and your family need.

The Congenital Heart Center at Kosair Children’s Hospital, a part of Norton Heart Care, is the region’s leading provider of heart care. In addition to congenital heart services, Norton Heart Care  also is home to the region’s most comprehensive and expansive heart wellness and education program, which is the only program of its kind in Louisville dedicated to caring for the specific needs of a woman’s heart.
