Circle of Hearts is a free series of classes from Norton Women's Heart Center that is dedicated to educating women about early signs and symptoms, accurate diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and those who are at risk for developing it, including:
- Early signs and symptoms
- Accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Education and wellness information
- Who is at risk of developing it
Each month a qualified health professional discusses a heart-related topic and leads a question-and-answer session. Women of all ages, as well as interested family members, are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments are served.

Safe Sitter classes teach adolescents – ages 11 to 13 – how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children.
Safe sitters learn:
- Facts about child development
- Tips on safety for the sitter
- Choking prevention and information
- Baby-sitting business skills
- How to entertain children and keep them safe
Cost of the one-day class is $30, which includes a backpack and materials. Students should bring $6 for lunch or bring their own lunch. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
To successfully complete the Safe Sitter class, participants must pass practical and written tests to show they have mastered the key concepts and have acquired the skills necessary to handle an emergency.
