Purpose and Objectives
Purpose of the Norton Healthcare Inclusion Council
The Norton Healthcare Inclusion Council is responsible for ensuring that inclusion-related strategies are implemented across Norton Healthcare for our patients, workforce, suppliers and the community as outlined in the Inclusion Strategic Matrix.
This may involve practices, communications, training, monitoring, evaluating, advocating or participating in activities related to inclusion.
The Inclusion Council is comprised of employees representing organizational units across Norton Healthcare. Council members are expected to lead the integration and infusion of inclusion, inclusion behaviors and results in their organizational unit of Norton Healthcare.
Key Long-term Goals
The goal of the Inclusion Strategy is to integrate, infuse, operationalize, and institutionalize inclusion and diversity into the Norton Healthcare system. The Council will work toward obtaining the following key long-term objectives:
Be viewed internally as a leader in maintain an inclusive environment
Hold all staff accountable for contributing to an inclusive environment
Ensure all staff, including patient care staff, is culturally competent and skilled at serving and caring for the entire community.
Ensure the demographics of our organization reflect the communities we serve by having diverse leadership at all levels
Be viewed externally by patients and families, business partners and communities as a leader in ensuring an inclusive culture.
