Kentucky reports 4 flu deaths in latest weekly report

Kentucky health officials on Friday reported four adults died from the flu in the most recent weekly reporting period.

Total flu deaths in Kentucky this season increased to 12 adults and one child.

There were 1,018 confirmed flu cases in the week ended Jan. 19, bringing the season’s total to 4,166, the Kentucky Department for Public Health reported. The week’s total number of confirmed cases represented an increase after two weeks of declines.
