Norton Healthcare Rehabilitation Services

Norton Healthcare offers specialized outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy services at locations downtown, on the Norton Brownsboro Hospital campus and on the Norton Healthcare – St. Matthews campus. Our rehabilitation teams can help if your quality of life has been affected by a brain tumor.

Resource Centers

Five Norton Cancer Institute Resource Center locations provide comfort, support and information. Resource center help is available at no cost to patients or families.

Norton Specialty Pharmacy

Located at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital in St. Matthews, this service provides patients with specialized expertise, an on-call pharmacist for clinical and medication support, integrated support programs and convenient access to prescriptions.

Norton Cancer Institute Behavioral Oncology Program

This program offers supportive emotional and psychological care for patients diagnosed with brain tumors. Through interactions with the counselor, patients and their families learn coping techniques to guide them through this challenging time.

Brain Tumor Center Patient Navigators

Patient navigators are designated to support patients through their journey at Norton Healthcare. Patient navigators consult with you and your caregivers about medical and personal matters. Their services are free and available as often as you need them.

A patient navigator can:

  • Educate you and your family members about your diagnosis, available treatments and managing disease
  • Help you take full advantage of a multidisciplinary team of health care providers who can offer their specialized insights as part of a coordinated approach to care
  • Assist with accurate and timely communication between you, your primary caregivers and your health care providers
  • Connect you and your family members with appropriate Norton Healthcare resources in Louisville and Southern Indiana
  • Identify and address any barriers to make sure you have access to high-quality care

  • Our specialists are skilled and experienced with brain tumor radiation therapy, neurological surgery, brain tumor chemotherapy, brain tumor treating fields, immunotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, intensity-modulated radiation therapy, laser interstitial thermal therapy with robotic assistance and emerging treatments.
  • These specialists work side by side, allowing you to schedule multiple appointments for the same day, in the same location.
  • Counselors provide compassionate, friendly guidance to patients whose finances have been upended by their diagnosis.
